The exhibit
The remains of sanctuaries at Sarmizegetusa Regia preserve an architectural setting for Dacian religious life.
Stone foundations and ordered spaces survive where buildings once stood. Sarmizegetusa Regia formed part of the Dacian kingdom’s mountain-centred network. Its sacred area belongs to the archaeological landscape recognized by UNESCO alongside the fortresses of the Orăștie Mountains. The ruins invite questions about ceremonies, skilled construction and the relationship between political and religious power.
