The exhibit
The falx is a curved weapon studied through archaeological finds and ancient depictions of Dacian warfare.
A blade’s shape records decisions about making, handling and combat. Curved swords associated with Dacian warriors are known from both material finds and Roman imagery. Research on a falx discovered at Divici compares the excavated object with representations and experimental reconstructions, bringing physical evidence into conversation with the images.
