The idea
Edeleanu’s 1931 patent describes a process for separating wax from mineral oils.
US patent 1,809,777 uses liquid sulfur dioxide and cooling to help remove wax. The patent describes a process usable alongside selective refining or separately on refined oils, making this a distinct exhibit from the original Edeleanu refining process.
