MINFLUX molecular-resolution microscopy
Stefan Hell and the MINFLUX team
The idea
MINFLUX localizes fluorescent molecules using a light-intensity minimum and very few detected photons.
Hell’s international team at Max Planck introduced MINFLUX as a new microscopy concept in 2016. It combines ideas from earlier super-resolution techniques to study molecules at nanometre scales. This exhibit follows the next chapter of the Romanian-born physicist’s work.
